Energy Trader

Boralex is hiring an Energy Trader to execute revenue optimization strategies in intra-day and next-day North American energy markets. The role involves energy scheduling, submitting and maintaining ISO bids and offers, optimizing energy and ancillary product production schedules, executing financial transactions such as futures, swaps, and financial transmission rights, maintaining risk-management compliance, recording transactions in ETRM systems, monitoring market rules and dynamics, contributing to price forecasting, and supporting trading automation and analytical tools. The position requires a bachelor's degree in finance, data science, engineering, or a related field, strong analytical accuracy, communication and teamwork skills, and willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts in the Ottawa/Gatineau office.
