As an electromechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the mechanical, electrical, and automated systems of our facility. You will work directly with production equipment, troubleshoot problems, and contribute to safe and efficient operations. - Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P.) in electromechanics or industrial mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Comfortable with physical tasks: lifting (up to 50 lb), climbing, kneeling, standing for long periods
- Ability to work at heights and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or holidays with notice
- Basic computer knowledge for maintenance documentation
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to equipment issues to ensure production continuity
- Diagnose, repair, and optimize mechanical and electrical systems
- Support production start-up in the morning and ensure equipment is ready
- Perform fabrication, welding, and modification tasks as needed
- Participate in equipment improvement and upgrade projects
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and factory environment
- Respect food safety and workplace safety standards
Desired Qualifications
- Equipment connection certificate
- Experience with T.I.G. welding
- Familiarity with labeling equipment (Bizerba) and packaging equipment (Omori, Ulma)
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and the food industry
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Autonomy and safety-focused approach
- Must be currently legal to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years or older
- D.E.P. in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics (or Quebec equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
