Cégep de Lévis is looking for a head coach for its football team competing in the college league division 2.
Summary of Job Description
Under the supervision of the student life advisor in the sports department, the head coach of the football team directs all team activities in respect of the values inherent to college sports and those of Cégep de Lévis.
More specifically, the person
- Takes charge of the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological coaching of the team during training, competitions, and throughout the year;
- Coordinates the development and deployment of a unit;
- Recruits and recommends team coaching staff;
- Directs and supervises the work of coaches and coordinators;
- Coaches student-athletes in their sports and academic path, in collaboration with the various stakeholders of the college;
- Plans, organizes, and directs player recruitment activities;
- Creates annual, weekly, and daily training plans.
- Collaborates with the medical team and physical trainer.
- Ensures the promotion of players within the network and universities;
- Collaborates on team-related activities;
- Contributes to the regional development of football;
Required Profile and Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of football and PNCE certification or equivalent;
- Notable experience as a football coach;
- Strong communication and organization skills;
- Leadership, personnel management, and teamwork skills;
- Availability according to an irregular schedule for the entire year;
- Mastery of spoken and written French;
- Knowledge of HUDL software;
- Knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Office 365), video editing software (an asset);
- Adheres to the code of ethics and regulations governing the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) and the Service des Sports du Cégep de Lévis.
Conditions required by the College
- Shows autonomy and judgment;
- Demonstrates a sense of initiative and responsibilities;
- Knows the specific regulations of his discipline as well as the administrative regulations of the RSEQ.
