Job Description
The Volunteers of Sherbrooke College are currently looking for an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for the division 2 football team for the 2027 season. The Volunteers bring together seventeen sports teams representing Sherbrooke College and evolving within the Quebec Student Sports Network and the Canadian Collegiate Sports Association.
Sherbrooke College is the largest college in the province located outside of Montreal and Quebec, welcoming over 6,000 students in 34 programs. It has nearly 900 employees and is among the largest employers in the Eastern Townships.
Task Description
- Recruit and select student-athletes.
- Supervise student-athletes in their sports, academic, and social development.
- Act as an advisor to the head coach and assist with administrative tasks.
- Coordinate the development and deployment of offensive strategies.
- Ensure technical, tactical, physical, and psychological supervision of the offensive unit.
- Direct and supervise the work of position coaches in accordance with program guidelines.
- Perform all other related tasks related to the football program and the Volunteers programs.
- Represent the institution and promote the programs, both from a sports and academic perspective.
Required Qualifications
- Hold certifications, Take the Lead in Sport, Ethical Decision Making, Safety in Sport Training, Emergency Action Plan, Secure Contact, Competition Development, Secure Contact, Introduction to Competition.
- Possess a minimum of three years of experience as a football coach.
- Demonstrate a good ability to work with young people from 17 to 22 years old;

- Be available mornings and evenings during the week as well as weekends according to program needs;
- Know and master the technological tools made available in relation to the task.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken French.
