The Centre de services scolaire des Grandes-Seigneuries (CSSDGS) is looking to fill substitute positions for special education technicians (TES) in schools across its territory, for the school year .

Your employment conditions
• Flexible schedule: arrange the schedule that suits you based on your availability;
• Salary: from $28.43 to $40.92 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience and in accordance with the collective agreement in force;

Your mission
Apply special education techniques and methods, namely:
- As part of an intervention plan for students with disabilities or with adjustment or learning difficulties;
- As part of a program for students requiring particular support.

YOUR daily contribution
- Develop, organize and lead educational or pedagogical support activities aimed at developing social, cognitive, psychomotor and communication skills;
- Select, prepare and adapt the materials needed for these activities. The person collaborates in carrying out other educational activities such as organizing and supervising workplace internships;
- Support students in their learning, particularly in class, with reading and writing assistance, reviewing the teacher's explanations, lessons, and completing homework, within the limits of their skills and according to the tasks assigned by the teacher;
- Observe situations and intervene with students in relation to their environment, provide a helping relationship, and use intervention techniques that can promote a return to calm and order;
- Supervise students who, following a sanction, must take their classes in a separate room; help them continue their schoolwork; agree with the students and the staff concerned on the conditions for their return to class.
YOUR Qualifications
Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Special Education Techniques or in progress.
Other accepted applications:
- AEC in Special Education Techniques;
- DEC in Social Work Techniques or Delinquency Intervention;
- Bachelor's degree (BAC) in school adaptation;
- BAC in criminology;
- BAC in psychoeducation;
- BAC in psychology;
- BAC in social work or social service;
- BAC through a combination of 3 certificates meeting the requirements of the position (e.g., youth intervention, practical foundations, mental health, individualized studies, early childhood and family, etc.);
- Certificate in Early Childhood and Family: Education and Early Intervention and Certificate in Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder Intervention combined with one (1) year of experience deemed relevant to the position;
- Certificate in Psychoeducation combined with two (2) years of experience deemed relevant to the position;
- Certificate in Youth Intervention: Foundations and Practices combined with two (2) years of experience deemed relevant to the position;
- AEC in Juvenile and Correctional Intervention combined with either of these AECs: Intervening in Mental Health or Autism Spectrum Disorder.
