The Fierbourg Professional Training Center is looking for a gardener whose role consists of preparing and executing work related to the culture and maintenance of plants, both inside and outside.

YOUR ROLE
- Maintain plants by performing the following tasks: staking, pruning, pinching, trimming, weeding, hoeing, digging, and watering;
- Use insecticides, fertilizers, and manure (greenhouse application certificate);
- Prune trees by cutting branches using pruning shears and saws;
- Perform plant propagation work by seeding, cuttings, or otherwise;
- Prepare soils, transplant and pot plants, perform planting work, and lay peat;
- Occasionally, mow the lawn, perform outdoor maintenance work, and maintain aquaponic systems;
- Maintain the cleanliness of the premises and equipment used;
- As needed, perform any other related tasks.
YOUR PROFILE
- Hold a professional studies diploma in horticulture and gardening or in any other specialty suitable for the job class or hold a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.

- Have two (2) years of relevant experience.
SKILLS SOUGHT
- Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration with various stakeholders, including teaching staff, support staff, and external partners.
- Ability to observe, analyze, and contribute to the identification of horticultural problems and the implementation of adapted solutions.
- Ability to maintain and enhance greenhouses, a school garden, and educational horticultural environments.
- Sense of organization and ability to participate in the preparation of activities or events related to the sale of horticultural products.
- Flexibility to adapt to a variable schedule and, occasionally, to evening or weekend work periods according to the needs of the service.
