The mission of CPE des Hautes-Plaines is to provide quality childcare services to each of the children entrusted to it. These services allow children to live in a warm and stimulating environment, during the early childhood period. They experience favorable developments, which enable them to acquire skills and progress in their journey.

Descriptive summary of the general management position

Under the authority of the board of directors and in accordance with the powers delegated to it by the board, the person holding the position manages a CPE to optimize its operation and educational services; and to ensure efficient management of human, financial, material, real estate, and information resources, within the available financial framework and prescribed budgetary rules. The person ensures the quality of services as well as the well-being, overall development, and health and safety of children, in accordance with applicable regulations.

The person holding the position assists and accompanies the board of directors in the exercise of its roles and responsibilities, provides the necessary information for decision-making, proposes orientations and means to implement them, and implements its decisions. The person reports to the board of directors on the implementation of the annual action plan. The person represents the employer to the staff as well as the organization to the government and partners.

Main responsibilities

Assist and accompany the board of directors in the exercise of its roles and responsibilities to support decision-making;

Plan, organize, direct, and control CPE activities according to good management principles to ensure optimal operation and quality of educational services;

Ensure efficient management of financial resources within the available financial framework and prescribed budgetary rules to promote the perpetuity and realization of the CPE's mission;

Ensure efficient management of the CPE's human resources to ensure compliance with current regulations and a work climate conducive to staff mobilization;

Ensure efficient management of the CPE's material, real estate, and information resources in accordance with applicable regulations.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in administration; education or any other related and relevant field.

A relevant university certificate combined with appreciable experience in a management position in a similar environment may be considered.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management position in a similar environment and ideally unionized.

Full-time management position;

Remuneration class 2 ($80,004-$106,673), according to the salary scales of the Ministry of Family and the personnel management remuneration guide;
