The Montreal facility, (Quebec, Canada) is looking for skilled individuals to fill a position of Agent, Accounts Payable (Temporary - 1 year). This is a temporary full-time position.

Overview: Reporting to the supervisor, Accounts Payable, the Accounts Payable technician provides essential support to financial operations by ensuring rigorous and efficient processing of invoices, in accordance with internal policies and deadlines, while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.

Your challenges:

  • Analyze, validate, and execute payments in accordance with internal controls;

  • Ensure validation and monitoring of system interfaces;

  • Perform invoice, credit, and purchase order matching, and resolve discrepancies;

  • Analyze and approve expense accounts via Concur, ensuring compliance with policies;

  • Act as SAP Super User and resource person for the team (support, training, problem-solving);

  • Actively participate in the detection and prevention of fraud risks, including validation of supplier banking information;

  • Take charge of complex analyses related to month-end and collaborate on closing activities;

  • Identify recurring issues, propose, and implement sustainable solutions;

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and internal controls;

  • Support the supervisor in certain coordination and team leadership activities as needed.

Your skills:

  • Excellent mastery of ERP systems (SAP a major asset) and expense management tools (Concur);

  • Advanced mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions, analysis);

  • Strong analytical mind and ability to solve complex problems;

  • Rigor, attention to detail, and respect for deadlines;

  • Developed customer service skills and ability to manage priorities;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders;

  • Autonomy, leadership, and ability to act as a mentor within the team;

  • Ability to evolve in a changing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Your profile:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP), AEC or DEC in accounting or related field;

  • Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting (an asset);

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, ideally in a complex or large business environment;

  • Experience with telecommuting and digital document management;

  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
