Primary Responsibilities :
Contract Strategy and Planning
- Develop contract strategies tailored to project needs.
- Participate in defining execution modes and procurement strategies.
- Identify and assess contractual, commercial and operational risks.
- Advise stakeholders on the contractual impacts of business decisions.
Contract Drafting, Negotiation and Award
- Prepare, revise and negotiate contracts for goods, services and construction.
- Participate in calls for tenders and supplier and contractor selection processes.
- Ensure the integration of technical, commercial, legal and risk management requirements.
- Negotiate commercial terms, liability clauses, warranties and claims management mechanisms.
Risk Management
- Identify contract-related risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Monitor critical obligations that may affect the project's cost, schedule or quality.
- Advise management on strategic contract issues.
Collaboration and Governance
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, construction, project control and legal teams.
- Train and support teams on best contract practices.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement processes.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in administration, law, engineering, project management or a related field.
- Additional training in contract management, procurement or risk management.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in contract management in complex project environments.
- Proven experience in the construction, infrastructure, energy, mining or consulting engineering sectors.
- Significant experience in negotiating and administering large-scale contracts.
- Experience in managing contractual claims and dispute resolution.
Technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of contract administration.
- Good understanding of the legal and commercial principles applicable to contracts.
- Mastery of procurement and subcontractor management processes.
- Solid ability to analyze contractual risks.
- Mastery of document management and ERP tools.
- Excellent mastery of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
