Join our warm team at Louis d'Or Auberge for seniors, a private seniors' residence (RPA) and an intermediate resource (RI) well-established in its community, offering a human-scale living environment. We distinguish ourselves by being the living environment for semi-autonomous seniors in the MRC des Sources.

Your mission at the heart of the action

As a cook within the Auberge, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Prepare savory and comforting meals.
  • Adapt menus according to the specific needs and diets of our residents (textures, allergies, protein intake).
  • Ensure cleanliness, refrigerator cleaning, and resident dishwashing.
  • Maintain a safe and impeccably clean work environment.
  • Work in collaboration with the work team, including the head cook.
  • Complete all required training for your position (MAPAQ, training on safe person transfer principles, CPR/first aid training, and training on Law 90 (medication distribution to residents)).
  • Perform any other task related to your position.

Experience and qualifications sought

  • Diploma of vocational studies (DEP) in establishment cuisine or equivalent experience (an asset)
  • Relevant experience in meal preparation or passion for cooking.
  • Practical knowledge of adapted dietary regimes and meal textures (an asset)

  • Schedule: Permanent full-time position (40 hours per week, including weekends (Wednesday to Friday afternoons/evenings, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 am to 6:30 pm)
