Your responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices according to contractual terms, ensuring the accuracy of amounts, applicable taxes, and customer information.
- Perform weekly follow-up on overdue accounts and carry out collection activities with customers (email reminders, calls, payment agreements).
- Receive, record, and apply payments received (checks, transfers, credit cards) in the accounting system, and perform bank deposits.
- Reconcile customer accounts and analyze the accounts aging report to identify delays and discrepancies.
- Ensure communication and follow-up with customers and colleagues (project managers, accounting, management) regarding billing, discrepancies, disputes, or missing information.
- Prepare and send monthly account statements to customers.
- Issue credit notes or adjustments, as needed, after approval.
- Maintain up-to-date customer files and billing documentation (contracts, purchase orders, approvals).
- Ensure reception duties: answer calls and direct them, welcome visitors and customers, and manage incoming and outgoing mail. Participate in month-end closing in relation to customer accounts.
- Perform any other related tasks, as needed.
What we are looking for in you
- D.E.C. or D.E.P. in accounting
- Versatility and sense of organization
- 1 year of experience in the accounting field
- Experience in the construction industry (an asset)
- Autonomy, rigor, and team spirit
