Daytime Forklift Operator - Full-time Permanent

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, the clerk/forklift operator will perform all activities related to merchandise movement, whether it be handling/sorting, storage, replenishment, destocking or order preparation. In order to increase the versatility of our staff, Carrousel reserves the right to train the forklift operator in other related tasks.
The position will be based in Boucherville - 1485, rue de Coulomb, Boucherville, Quebec, J4B 7L8
SALARY: $22.99/hour Responsibilities
- Inspects the forklift and/or electric pallet jack daily according to established standards;
- Unloads trailers;
- Assists with palletizing;
- Retrieves all necessary merchandise, assembles and prepares orders according to the different established order preparation steps;
- Verifies the packaging of orders before shipping (cleanliness, packaging quality, etc.);
- All other related tasks.

- Full-time and permanent position;
- Stable schedule, Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm;
- Possibility of working overtime, paid at time and a half after 40 hours;
- Average weight of loads 25-35 pounds;
- Ambient temperature, no refrigeration and freezing.

- Experience operating a Raymond stand-up forklift;
- Knowledge of current health and safety standards;
- Knowledge of the Solochain warehouse management computer system;
- Ability to operate a forklift and work in restricted spaces with a lot of traffic;
- Excellent organizational skills and versatility;
- Autonomy, ease of communication, approachability, meticulousness and attention to detail;
- Good adaptability to changes;
- Ability to work under pressure during peak periods;
- Sense of initiative and teamwork;
- Good command of spoken and written French required.
