Our client, a well-established company operating in the construction sector, is looking for an Accountant to take charge of all the accounting and financial activities of the organization.

Your role

Reporting directly to the president, you will act as the go-to resource for all of the company's accounting activities.

You will take part in day-to-day operations while playing an advisory role for management and project managers.

Main responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Invoice projects and monitor collections.
• Perform bank reconciliations and accounting entries.
• Take part in monthly closings and the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare and process payroll.
• Handle government remittances.
• Monitor project costs and profitability.
• Work with managers on the financial follow-up of mandates.
• Produce various management reports for senior management.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative and financial processes.

The ideal candidate

• DEC in accounting or equivalent training.
• Experience with the full accounting cycle.
• Experience in an SME environment.
• Experience in the construction, services, or project management sectors (asset).
• Good command of Excel and accounting systems.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and rigor.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and growing environment.
