Reporting to the COO, you will act as the head of the finance function.

You will manage the finance and accounting team and oversee accounting activities, financial planning and analysis, as well as audit processes.

You will also act as a business partner to management and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, compliance, the quality of financial information and the overall performance of the company.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Ensure the management, development and mobilization of the finance and accounting team;
  • Oversee accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial closing processes;
  • Supervise the preparation of financial statements and ensure the integrity, accuracy and reliability of financial information;
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual budget and the periodic review of financial forecasts;
  • Provide management with financial analyses and recommendations supporting decision-making and the achievement of business objectives;
  • Control and direct treasury activities;
  • Ensure the monitoring and accuracy of inventory values;
  • Analyze the profitability of activities and support managers in optimizing their performance;
  • Participate in external and government audits;
  • Develop, maintain and improve internal controls, financial processes and management tools;
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes to support the growth of the company;
  • Perform any other related duties required by the position or by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline;
  • Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position with personnel management;
  • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written) in order to interact with business partners and stakeholders located outside Quebec;
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and an integrated business management software (ERP). Knowledge of SAP software will be considered an asset;
  • Be a member of the CPA Order;
  • Be able to travel occasionally for business.
