Use and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dishwasher, hand washing stations, pot washing stations and waste compactor. Wash and disinfect the kitchen and storage room, tables, tools, knives and equipment. Receive deliveries, store perishable goods properly and manage inventory. Ensure that clean glasses and dishes are put away in the appropriate areas. Use detergent, rinse aids and disinfecting chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes. Inspect, remove and stack cleaned items, send soiled items for scrubbing and washing. Place items on racks and spray all items on racks with hot water to loosen and remove food residue. Sort, soak and wash/re-wash silverware. Empty dirty bus tubs. Empty and maintain trash cans and the area around the dumpster. Clean and wash all areas of assigned sectors by hand. Put glasses in the appropriate containers. Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclable materials in the recycling bin. Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and hazardous working conditions to the manager; and pass safety training and certifications. Protect company assets. Speak to others using clear, appropriate and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team to achieve common goals. Meet quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds (22.7 kg) without assistance. Stand, sit or walk for an extended period or for a long period of time. Reach objects above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
