PI
Reporting to the Vice-president of operations, the director has the mandate to ensure the optimization of maintenance in order to achieve the production and profitability objectives of their sector.
To do this, they will have to:
- Plan, organize, direct and control the realization of preventive maintenance, repair and optimization work on equipment;
- Plan and organize building maintenance;
- Collaborate closely with other directors to support the operational priorities of the plants;
- Assume the daily management of the activities of the mechanical department's foremen, mechanics, machinist and external contractors;
- Manage the purchases associated with their department;
- Optimize and standardize lockout programs;
- Develop their team's autonomy in terms of "trouble shooting" in automation;
- Optimize the culture focused on health-safety, accountability and performance.
Profile:
- University or college diploma in a relevant discipline and/or any experience deemed equivalent;
- Ideally, "field" experience as a mechanic;
- Ten (10) years of experience supervising a work team in the maintenance field in a unionized manufacturing environment;
- Mobilizing leadership, excellent team management and communication skills;
- Analytical mind, solid problem-solving ability, good judgment and sense of organization:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
