Production Supervisor - Evening

About the role

In a context of sustained growth, Soft Tex is expanding its management team and is looking for a production supervisor for the day shift.

Reporting to the operations management, you will be responsible for coordinating daily production activities while ensuring a safe, high-performing and engaging work environment. You will supervise a team of approximately 25 employees and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of operations.

Your main responsibilities

• Supervise the production activities in your area and support team members in their daily work;
• Ensure the integration, training and support of new employees;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards as well as quality standards;
• Foster employee engagement, motivation and development;
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives;
• Ensure productivity targets are met and implement corrective actions when necessary;
• Actively take part in solving operational problems on the production floor;
• Work closely with other supervisors and support teams to optimize operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervision or team management;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (an important asset);
• Experience in change management or continuous improvement;
• Good command of French and ability to communicate in English in order to provide guidance, training and daily support to a team including several recent immigrant employees;
• Knowledge of health and safety best practices.

Shift: 3:45 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Monday to Thursday, then 11:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
