Reporting to the HR/HSE advisor, you will ensure a consulting role in HSE matters and act as an influence and change agent among employees and managers. Travel to the Greater Montreal, Laval, and Lanaudière areas will be a requirement.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Continue to develop a health and safety prevention culture
- Conduct HSE inspections of workplaces
- Play a consulting role with managers
- Participate in risk assessments for new projects or new equipment
- Participate in the integration of new employees
- Ensure the design of HSE capsules, the dissemination of information sessions, and training
- Conduct accident investigations and ensure follow-up on corrective actions if necessary
- Organize various prevention activities
- Participate in and coordinate the activities of the health and safety committee
- Submit reports and follow up on HSE files
Required Qualifications
- Training in health and safety or as a construction site security agent or equivalent experience (mandatory)
- Excellent communication
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts
- Ability to make frequent trips to work sites
- Knowledge of the Office suite
- Excellent written French
- Able to work indoors and outdoors (summer/winter)
