Senior Automotive Technician - Electrical & Hybrid Diagnostics

Toyota Gatineau is looking for an experienced automotive technician with strong expertise in Toyota vehicles to join our Service team. We are specifically seeking a seasoned technician with 15 years of experience or more, who has completed Toyota technical training and has advanced expertise in electrical diagnostics, electronic systems, and hybrid/electrified vehicles. If you know Toyota vehicles inside and out and enjoy solving more complex technical issues, we want to meet you. Your Role As a Senior Technician, your responsibilities will include: Performing advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic diagnostics; Diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and complex technical issues; Performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Toyota hybrid and electrified vehicles; Completing repairs according to Toyota standards and procedures; Using manufacturer diagnostic tools and software; Performing required inspections, maintenance, and repairs; Accurately documenting completed work and recommendations on repair orders; Collaborating with Service Advisors, the Shop Foreman, and other technicians to ensure efficient, high-quality work. Qualifications 15 years of experience or more as an automotive technician; Significant experience working with Toyota vehicles; Completed Toyota technical training; Advanced expertise in electrical and electronic diagnostics; Experience with Toyota hybrid and electrified vehicles; Required trade certification/licences; Recognized automotive technician training; Valid driver’s licence; Must have your own tools; Strong ability to work independently and solve complex problems; Detail-oriented, efficient, and a strong team player.
