Responsibilities and Duties
- Create patterns for upholstery covers, foam, cardboard and polyester;
- Share upholstery work with the upholsterer/trainer according to the project stage within the established structure, and validate frame components in relation to upholstery requirements;
- Simplify the pattern and upholstery technique to the greatest extent possible;
- Produce the pattern, meaning outline each piece of the pattern and mark details such as the location of pleats, topstitching, zippers, etc.;
- Work on improving existing products following problems identified by the service or production department;
- Respect and apply established value-added production techniques and 5S practices implemented in the department and the rest of the plant;
- Other related tasks.
Job Requirements
- Education required: Training or professional development in pattern making/drawing or pattern design of 6 months or more.
- Experience required: No experience required, but considered an asset
- Languages: No language required, French or English an asset
