As a Deputy Project Manager, you will support project managers in the planning, execution, and control of industrial construction projects. Acting as a project representative in the field, you will coordinate stakeholders, participate in the resolution of technical and operational issues, and contribute to achieving safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. More specifically, you will:
Assist project managers in planning and executing work.
Participate in identifying and resolving risks, constraints, and site issues.
Provide necessary information for decision-making.
Ensure follow-up of critical actions and project priorities.
Participate in site meetings and coordinate activities between different stakeholders.
Ensure interfaces between contractors, consultants, users, and internal teams.
Monitor adherence to the construction schedule and priorities.
Support the rapid resolution of execution issues.
Validate the progress of work on site.
Identify deviations and recommend corrective measures.
Participate in performance reviews of contractors.
Contribute to achieving cost and schedule objectives.
Participate in the evaluation of changes and their impacts.
Support the analysis of additional work and claims.
Participate in the review of payment and invoicing requests.
Provide required information for contractual decisions.
Participate in the management of RFIs, drawings, bids, and technical issues.
Ensure the link between engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Contribute to resolving technical problems encountered on site.
Participate in the evaluation of proposed solutions.
Participate in inspections, tests, and commissioning activities.
Contribute to closing deficiencies.
Support the transition of facilities to operations.
Qualifications
Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in a relevant field (engineering, construction, technology, or project management).
3 to 7 years of experience in project management or coordination of construction projects.
Experience in an industrial environment or in multidisciplinary projects.
Good understanding of construction contracts and work execution.
Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Solid communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingualism in French and English.
