Job Summary We are looking for a Software Developer Intermediate in Testing (SDET) to join our Cloud development team. Our comprehensive cloud-based SaaS solution complements our range of portable test solutions used by technicians who install and maintain fiber optic networks. It allows technicians to upload their test results from the field and project administrators to analyze this data, monitor network quality, and perform advanced analysis. In this practical and development-focused role, you will directly contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our Cloud services. You will develop code and test automation solutions, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with developers to integrate quality from the beginning of the development cycle. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Cloud applications and services.
- Develop end-to-end, integration, functional, and regression automated tests.
- Automate Web application and user interface tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Develop automated tests for REST APIs and Web services, including with Postman or programmatic testing frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers to define testing strategies for new backend services and features.
- Design reusable automated test frameworks, libraries, utilities, and test data.
- Integrate and execute automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes of issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve them.
- Continuously improve the reliability and speed of automated tests.
- Develop tests to validate the behavior and integration of distributed Cloud services.
- Use Kubernetes and containerized environments to configure, run, and troubleshoot tests.
- Develop an understanding of the AWS infrastructure supporting our SaaS solution and use it for test development and troubleshooting.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Actively participate in Agile SAFe activities, including planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to integrate quality throughout the development process.
Profile sought
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development or test automation, including significant experience in automated test development.
- Solid experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience in automating tests for Web applications with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or a similar tool.
- Solid experience in REST API and Web service testing with Postman, REST-assured, or equivalent technologies.
- Programming experience with multiple modern languages, including exposure to Python, Go, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with integrating and running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Good knowledge of Git and modern software development practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
- Experience with a public Cloud platform, ideally AWS.
- Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in systems with multiple components.
- Good understanding of software development practices: version control, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Ability to work effectively within an Agile development team.

- Experience with cloud-native or distributed systems.
- Knowledge of AWS services, including Amazon S3 and IAM.
