Learn more about Responsibilities and Activities:
- Read and understand customer specifications to generate inputs for the design team and deliverables for the customer.
- Deliver work packages for projects or programs using technical guidelines, leading design reviews and implementing lessons learned (FOE).
- Produce diagrams, technical specifications, test procedures and all documentation required for the scope in accordance with customer requirements and GE practices.
- Supervise draftspersons for the creation of project drawings.
- Supervise and support suppliers/subcontractors.
- Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, drawings (supported by draftspersons) and bills of materials without supervision.
- Collaborate and assist the project management team when needed.
- Support the supply chain for project procurement and the development of new suppliers, if necessary.
- Evaluate and act on nonconformity reports.
- Provide on-site support for commissioning and assembly.
- Organize and/or participate in design reviews.
- Provide support for tender activities.
- Perform a site study.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers and experts for FOE, design validation and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Participate in meetings with customers and suppliers for document approval and/or NCR discussion.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (university) in electrical engineering.
- Member of the OIQ.

Required knowledge and/or experience
- Knowledge of electrical design and P&ID interpretation.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (control loops, actuators, sensors, signals).
- Knowledge of control panel design, wiring diagrams and layout.
- General knowledge of drawing standards and rules
- Proactivity, sense of urgency, autonomy
It is a plus to have knowledge of the following
- Experience/knowledge of hydroelectric power plants.

- Organize and/or participate on design reviews.
- Provide support on tendering activities.
- Perform Site Survey.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers and experts for FOE, design validation and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Participate, on meetings with customers and suppliers for document approval and or NCR discussion.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (University) in Electrical Engineering.
- Member of OIQ.
