Main Duties
- Determine food portion sizes and costs
- Plan menus and estimate the food requirements needed to prepare them
- Order food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook dishes or complete meals
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients, in accordance with the dietitian's or head chef's instructions
- Inspect kitchens and service areas
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Keep inventory and records of food, items and equipment
- Clean the kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
Education
High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience
Experience
1 year to less than 2 years
Languages
French
Salary
$18 to $50 per hour (negotiable) / hours per week
