
Property and Casualty Insurance Broker, Personal Client Services, Bilingual
The primary objective of this position is to propose and sell property and casualty insurance solutions to individual clients that meet their needs. As such, you will be called upon to develop a book of business in your own image, build trusting relationships with your clients, provide consistent client service, and ensure client loyalty. You will need to be present before, during, and after!
Your responsibilities.
- Analyze, understand, and identify clients' risks and needs.
- Act as an advisor to clients by explaining and simplifying insurance.
- Propose solutions tailored to your clients' reality.
- Negotiate on behalf of clients with the various insurers.
- Establish a relationship of trust with the various insurers.
- Build a relationship of trust and retain clients.
- Get involved in the claims process.
- Stay alert to opportunities and develop a book of business in your own image (solicitation, networking, referrals, cross-selling, etc.).
- Know all the products and services offered by the various insurers.
- Deliver a unique client experience based on the values of Lareau – Courtiers d'assurances.
Your profile, your skills.
- Hold a certificate of college studies (AEC) in property and casualty insurance, a diploma of college studies (DEC), or a bachelor's degree (BAC).
- Hold or be interested in obtaining your license from the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
- Have 0 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Be driven by sales and client service.
- Have the skills needed to present, negotiate, and close sales.
- Have good computer skills (MS Office and basic Windows).
- Have good priority management, work organization, and autonomy.
- Have a strong command of French (advanced level) and English (advanced level), both spoken and written, as bilingual brokers must communicate with English-speaking clients every day.
