AUXILIARY NURSE (TEMPORARY 12 MONTHS)

The Auxiliary Nurse works in close collaboration with the health professionals of the clinic to offer a pleasant experience to our patients who receive intraocular treatment (LIO) or refractive lens exchange. The coordinator's priority is to ensure the well-being of our patients and ensure they receive quality care.

Your tasks at a glance

• You participate in the reception of patients for ophthalmic surgeries.
• You answer questions from surgeons, patients, and employees about intraocular procedures.
• You ensure that all required equipment for surgeries is available by placing orders and following up as necessary.
• You identify and resolve problems as they arise, demonstrating a high level of responsibility in handling confidential business matters.
• You perform any task required for ophthalmic surgeries, as well as any other task requested by the management team.

A clear view of your assets

• You hold a professional studies diploma (DEP) in Health, Assistance, and Nursing Care (SASI) and have passed the professional exam of the OIIAQ (obligatory).
• You are a member in good standing of the Order of Auxiliary Nurses (OIIAQ) of Quebec (obligatory).
• You have excellent communication skills, speak French, and have an advanced intermediate level of English due to the nature of the tasks or interactions with our Anglophone patients.
• You are comfortable with computer tools, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of DME systems is an asset).
• Important: You are comfortable traveling to our LASIK MD clinics in Ottawa and Montreal for training (expenses covered by Groupe Vision).
• Schedule: You are available from Monday to Friday to work day shifts starting at 6:30/7:00 a.m.
