The Bell-Horizon Group, a leader in people transportation, is looking for a diesel engine mechanic for its fleet of 125 vehicles composed of school buses and luxury coaches.
The person sought must be passionate about diesel engines and must perform mechanical repairs to comply with Law 430, such as:
- Determine and diagnose malfunctions on the different systems of machinery and equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electronic).
- Check the systems and their elements to determine potential malfunctions. Participate in engine disassembly. Identify good and bad components.
- Determine the work or adjustments to be made with manual, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic tools and appropriate electronic devices.
- Ensure the supply of necessary parts for the execution of work by completing the documents provided for this purpose. Conduct research on technical specifications necessary for the work to be done.
- Replace or repair defective parts according to manufacturer specifications. Perform repairs on engines. Assemble complete engines.
- Proceed with the inspection required by the PEP program and complete the required documents
- The Halocarbures certificate is an asset.
- The PEP competence card is an asset and may be offered by the employer, if applicable.
