The position
We are looking for a versatile person to fill a position combining the duties of maître d'hôtel and banquet supervisor.
- Approximately 20 h/week as maître d'hôtel;
- Approximately 20 h/week as banquet supervisor, depending on needs and events;
- When no banquet is scheduled, the 40 hours are worked as maître d'hôtel.
The salary is $26/h for hours worked as maître d'hôtel, excluding tips. During hours worked at banquets, the person also receives the tips related to banquet services.
Your responsibilities
Maître d'hôtel - Restaurant Les Palmes
- Supervise service and coordinate the team's work;
- Welcome guests and ensure quality service;
- Ensure compliance with service standards;
- Handle special situations with clientele;
- Ensure the setup and smooth running of service.
Banquet supervisor
- Supervise the team during events;
- Coordinate the setup and flow of service;
- Assign tasks and oversee staff;
- Ensure quality service and compliance with standards;
- Collaborate with the various stakeholders during events.
Desired profile
- Relevant experience in food service or banquets;
- Supervisory experience, an asset;
- Leadership and excellent customer service;
- Independence, organization and good judgment;
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure;
- Availability day, evening and weekends.
