The position
Reporting to the Chief of Restaurant and Bar Operations, you will be responsible for managing operations and customer service across all restaurants and bars in the Casino Lac-Leamy complex, including the Hilton hotel, in order to ensure service efficiency and the achievement of very high quality standards. In this role, you will:
- organize daily operations, coordinate openings/closings, develop and apply work methods and service standards;
- coordinate and supervise employees' work so as to create a harmonious work environment that fosters outstanding service;
- ensure guest satisfaction, actively intervene during service, and handle complaints and conflicts in order to ensure a very high level of customer service quality;
- plan manpower needs, take part in preparing schedules, and mobilize employees;
- take part in recruitment, training and coaching of employees;
- ensure compliance with service, cleanliness and sanitation standards;
- collaborate and maintain constant communication with the kitchen management team;
- take part in controlling operating costs by ensuring rigorous management of merchandise and equipment;
- carry out any other mandate or special project entrusted by management.
Essential requirements
- Diploma of Collegial Studies (D.E.C.) in food service
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including 1 year managing a work team in a large establishment oriented toward customer service. Any combination of experience and training deemed equivalent may be considered
- To serve a tourist clientele, a good oral command of the English language is required for this position
