Job Title: Business Development Representative - External Sales
Location: Gatineau / Ottawa
Schedule: Permanent (Full-time, Monday to Friday)
Job Summary
Matrec is a waste management broker offering commercial and residential businesses services and products for waste collection, recycling, composting and confidential paper destruction. We are looking for a dynamic Sales Representative to develop our client base, prospect new markets and drive the growth of our marketable activities.

Job Requirements
- College diploma in business administration or a related field;
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of sales experience (field external sales experience and use of a CRM are an asset);
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and prospecting skills;
- Bilingualism required (proficiency in French and functional English, both spoken and written);
- Good proficiency with software in general;
- Valid driver's license and a car available for travel.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting: Solicit potential clients on site and by phone calls, emails and in-person visits;
- Business Development: Meet potential clients within an assigned geographic territory, provide information on products/services and develop tailored service offers;
- Acquisition and Retention: Acquire new clients to meet sales targets and provide after-sales follow-up with existing clients;
- Management and Follow-up: Submit reports of interactions to the internal team and keep the CRM database up to date.
