We are looking for 1 person to fill a general maintenance position in the Gatineau sector.

Job Description

  • Without being limited to, the tasks of the maintenance worker include the following repairs, adjustments, or maintenance:
  • Furniture and fixtures, suspended ceilings, shelves and storage systems, architectural hardware, doors and frames, hinges, plaster walls and ceilings, floor coverings, curtains and roller shades;
  • Assembly and disassembly of decorations, changing light bulbs, etc.;
  • Receiving service calls;
  • Handling and moving furniture or other objects that may require the use of motorized equipment;
  • Patrolling mechanical rooms;
  • Outdoor rounds for replacing lights;
  • Maintaining and cleaning the site's fountain basins;
  • Being able to perform minor verification and repair on equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendations and performing certain repairs;
  • Various outdoor work: cleaning cladding, exterior lining, etc.
  • In addition, the maintenance workers will have to act as members of the first intervention team during alarms and incidents.

Qualifications

  • Without being limited to, the maintenance worker will need to have the following qualifications:
  • Possess at least 1 year of relevant experience in one of the technical trades, such as a specialized laborer or other acceptable experience in general building maintenance;
  • Have manual skills and be able to use various manual and electrical tools;
  • Be able to understand verbal and written instructions and establish and meet deadlines for assigned work;
  • Be able to read electrical, mechanical, and architectural plans;
  • Be available to work on shifts and be available to travel to different buildings;
  • Follow a customer-centric approach;
  • Ability to lift heavy loads;
  • Hold a driver's license.
