Job Summary
A Penske truck driver is responsible for the delivery and return of vehicles between Penske facilities and customer sites. The position may also include support to the service department by ensuring the transportation of parts and equipment.
This is a part-time and on-call position, ideal for individuals looking for supplemental income and willing to work up to 25 hours per week based on operational needs.
Major Responsibilities
- Follow proper safety procedures when driving trucks to and from Penske facilities or customer sites.
- Perform vehicle inspections to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency systems are in good working condition; report any anomalies to the location manager.
- Obtain required receipts or signatures upon delivery and collect payments when necessary.
- Report any mechanical defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles.
- Perform any other tasks or projects assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Minimum of 2 years with an incident-free driving record.
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with air brake certification.
- Ability to read and write in English and French, as well as follow written instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
- Availability to travel as needed, work according to the required schedule, at the indicated location, complete the Penske application process, and undergo reference checks (employment and education).
