TEAM LEAD - FOUNDRY
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Canadian Operations
Primary Work Location: Montreal, Quebec

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
Acts as technical lead for foundry operations and team leader for daily manufacturing activities. In the context of expanding departmental activities, he supports production, coordinates team work, and contributes to operational improvement.
With them, he ensures that the following production objectives are met:
• Meeting product quality requirements according to customer demand
• Respecting manufacturing costs
• Respecting delivery deadlines
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and supports team members in daily operations (work allocation, assistance, replacement, and training);
• Trains his team and improves sand casting processes (sand preparation, mold preparation, demolding, finishing, etc.)
• Provides technical support to the team and resolves production problems to ensure continuity and efficiency of operations;
• Makes floor tours to monitor progress and evaluate production quality;
• Updates the "follow-up sheets" in the ERP software on a daily basis;
• Displays indicators on the team bulletin board;
• Writes production reports or any other reports;
• Produces purchase orders for consumables to maintain an appropriate inventory level;
• Participates in hiring interviews for technicians on his team as needed;
• Trains team members on their tasks, safety standards, and company policies;
• Evaluates the annual performance of team members;
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• With the support of external technical resources, coordinates the design of tooling and molds based on customer needs in collaboration with the engineering department;
• With the members of the Engineering team, participates in testing new tooling;
REQUIREMENTS
• Holds a professional diploma or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering of
• Possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aluminum foundry
• Possess significant experience in technical team management;
• Experience with Creo, ERP software and Microsoft Office required;
• Advanced French, professional English

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aluminum foundry
• Have significant experience in technical team management;
• Experience with Creo, ERP software and Microsoft Office required;
• Advanced French, professional English
