Job description
- Manage and supervise daily activities related to trailer preparation for various destinations, including personnel allocation, analysis and planning;
- Manage loading and unloading operations, revenue capture (cubing, handling fee control, etc.), CDS, MD;
- Manage a group of unionized employees, including selection and hiring, assignment, performance evaluation, supervision, development and training, attendance, discipline;
- Ensure the implementation of the Quality system and tools and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service;
- Manage labor relations, including the application of collective agreement provisions, including grievance settlement, working hours, health and safety;
- Communicate company information, including policies, practices, regulations, procedures, and programs;
- Complete and submit daily reports on operational activities of the work shift;
- Create a positive work environment that fosters employee engagement within a team spirit and collaboration;
- Other related tasks.
Qualifications
- D.E.C. or equivalent;
- 2 years of experience in operations and good knowledge of methods, policies and procedures;
- Experience in managing and supervising unionized personnel;
- Demonstrate leadership, credibility and ability to mobilize employees;
- Aptitude in labor relations and interpersonal relations;
- Good bilingual verbal and written communication;
- Analytical mind, ability to make decisions and solve problems;
- Autonomy, ability to work in a team and under pressure;
- Positive and proactive spirit, demonstrated skills in organization, planning and control;
- Knowledge of computer applications related to work.
