Responsibilities
Regarding qualifications, the candidate must embody and constantly demonstrate our key skills in communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership. They must be an energetic leader with strong motivational skills, possess excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must be able to coordinate a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. They must present a professional and positive image and constantly exemplify and demonstrate our key skills in communication, innovation, change management, relationship building, and leadership.
- Manage a group of unionized employees (ranging from 25 to 45 employees)
- Hire new employees, provide training, and evaluate their performance
- Compile and submit daily operational activity reports for their unit
- Promote an interdependent safety culture and respect safety policies within the warehouse or sorting facility to ensure high quality and limit risks
- Represent and embody the values and culture of Purolator in the management of the warehouse or sorting facility.
- All other related tasks
Experience and Qualifications
- D.E.C. or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in operations and good knowledge of methods, policies, and procedures
- Experience managing unionized personnel
- Energetic leader and ability to motivate a team
- Aptitude in interpersonal relationships
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a rapidly evolving work environment
- Demonstrate autonomy and motivation
- Able to work in a team and under pressure
- Functional English (an asset)
- Knowledge of the territory (an asset)
Working conditions: Warehouse environment; Office environment
Salary level: Grade 9
