We are looking for employees for the position of warehouse handler at our Jonquière facility.
Job description: Warehouse environment
Facility: 3479, rue de l'Énergie Jonquière, Québec G7X 0C1
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 02:30 to 8:00
Contract: part-time 27.5 hrs/week
Salary: hourly rate starting at $21.95 upon hiring
The warehouse handler, who reports to the sorting supervisor, is responsible for :
- Unloading delivery vehicles and trailers and sorting packages
- Loading shipments while ensuring scheduled departure times are respected
- Building a positive relationship with the team (couriers, team leader and sorters)
- Working with equipment such as conveyors, rollers or belts; working in trailers, containers and delivery vehicles
- Scanning shipments accurately, counting the number of truck stops and noting all special services during loading.
- Respecting all safety standards.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Other assigned tasks.
The warehouse handler must:
- Have knowledge of French
- Be able to lift and handle loads of up to 70 lbs, alone
- Have experience working in a warehouse (an asset)
- Have a good team spirit
- Be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
- Have no judicial impediment related to the job
Language requirement: No language skills are required for this position.
