Main responsibilities
- Operate a truck.
- Perform preventive and daily maintenance of the truck.
- Keep your workplace clean.
- Complete reports according to procedures.
- Report any incident or road problem.
- Operate and clean your forklift.
- Load and unload trucks according to procedures.
- Cooperate and communicate with other forklift operators.
- Keep the warehouse clean.
- Report and clean up any damage in the warehouse.
- Any other duties the employer deems necessary.
- Inspect each trailer of the Verchère network and report any damage
- Report any damage and/or incident in the yard
- Inspection and maintenance of forklift batteries
- Ensure during the winter period that de-icing salt is spread on sidewalks
Mainly day shift from 5:00 to 13:45
Requirements and Skills
- MANDATORY Hold a valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Must have technical aptitude so as to understand the mechanical and electronic operation of the equipment.
- Have a sense of responsibility, demonstrate initiative and be resourceful.
- Ability to communicate precisely and effectively in French with the production team and other coworkers.
- Bilingual is an asset
