The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced person for a full-time farm operator position. The person will oversee the daily production of our gourmet and culinary mushroom farm, located near Quinnville (in the city of Gatineau). Reporting to the farm operations manager, the successful candidate will work in the following areas:

• Preparing production and harvesting stages for mushrooms.
• Weighing and packaging mushrooms for daily deliveries.
• Cleaning and maintaining the growing rooms and related equipment.
• Making local deliveries to customers (class 5 driver's license or G license required).

• Enjoy following the pace of the day and working according to a routine.
• Enjoy physical and manual labor.
• Are capable of lifting 50 lb (approximately 23 kg) and remaining active throughout the day.
• Work well independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Have attention to detail, particularly for noting growing room conditions, evaluating production quality, and preparing customer orders.
• Are punctual, reliable, and take pride in doing things with care.
• Have experience in farming, gardening, landscaping, cooking, or the coffee industry. This is a significant asset, but not mandatory.
• Are committed to providing your community with high-quality, nutritious, and locally sourced food.

Scheduled hours: 35 to 40 hours per week

Remuneration: $22.50 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced individual for a full-time role as Farm Operator to supervise the daily production of our gourmet, culinary mushroom farm located just outside Quinnville, QC (within Gatineau municipality). Reporting to the Farm Operations Manager, this role will involve work in areas of:

• Mushroom production staging and mushroom harvesting.
• Weighing and packaging mushrooms for daily deliveries.
• Cleaning and maintaining growing rooms, along with the associated equipment.
• Completing deliveries for customers locally (G license / Class 5 license required).
