Under the supervision of the Foreman and Superintendent, the Carpenter-Joiner performs various carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, formwork, etc. They may also be called upon to collaborate with different subcontractors and other trades. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Interpret construction plans and technical specifications;
- Perform the construction, assembly, and installation of wood, concrete, and steel structures for civil engineering projects;
- Collaborate with engineers, professionals, subcontractors, and other trades on the site;
- Respect safety standards and regulations in force;
- Participate in the preparation, construction, and finishing phases;
- Contribute to the installation of plumbing, electrical, heating systems, and finishing work;
- Respect quality and compliance requirements;
- Transport construction materials;
- Build formwork and lay deep foundations;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Requirements and Required Skills
- Hold a valid CCQ card for their occupation;
- Hold a valid ASP Construction card;
- Possess experience in a similar position (an asset);
- Good mastery of reading plans, diagrams, drawings, and sketches;
- Autonomy and resourcefulness;
- Communication and teamwork.
