
The Opportunity
The holder of the position will be responsible for performing maintenance on equipment, tools, machine tools, buildings, and grounds.
The Role
- Dismantle, assemble, test, and repair equipment, tools, machine tools, and other defective parts;
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks and complete the maintenance schedule according to deadlines;
- Participate in building/ground maintenance;
- Perform emergency troubleshooting in case of unexpected breakdowns;
- Clean, inspect, and perform regular maintenance on equipment;
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of facilities, equipment, and operations;
- Participate in correcting hazards and risks in the workshop to prevent health and safety issues;
- Participate in various workshop tasks necessary for the smooth operation of operations;
- Be able to apply and revise equipment maintenance methods and procedures;
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts (lifting equipment) to handle heavy parts;
- Operate a work elevator platform to perform high-level work;
- Supervise subcontractors mandated to perform specialized work;
- All other related tasks.
The Candidate
Education : DEP in mechanical maintenance, industrial or electromechanical (an asset).
Work Experience : Relevant experience in industrial building and equipment maintenance.
Requirements/Skills : Availability and flexibility; Ability to work under pressure; Resourceful and autonomous person; Manual skill, analytical mind; Tooling and toolbox.
