About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquets and Events Coordinator to join their esteemed team in Gatineau . You will be the primary point of contact for clients from the initial inquiry stage through to the successful conclusion of their event, ensuring flawless service and a memorable experience. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to event inquiries, providing detailed information on venue capabilities, menus, and pricing structures. Develop customized event proposals and contracts, ensuring all client requirements and expectations are clearly documented and met. Coordinate with internal departments, including culinary, audio-visual, and front-of-house staff, to ensure seamless event execution. Conduct site visits with prospective clients, showcasing the venue's facilities and services to drive bookings. Oversee the execution of events on the day, acting as the main point of contact and addressing any issues that may arise promptly and professionally. Requirements Proven experience in event coordination or banquet serving within the hospitality sector. Strong understanding of event planning principles, including menu selection, room setup, and AV requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event management software is an asset. A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
