We are looking for a Program Officer, DMC
As a Program Officer, you will play a key role in implementing, promoting and continuously improving the investment program of Digital Museums Canada (DMC) and managing its funded projects. You will help strengthen DMC's relationships with Canadian museums, as well as with heritage, cultural and Indigenous organizations, by providing them with information, advice and support throughout their participation in the program.

3 to 5 years of experience in the following areas:
- Project management in a cultural context, including establishing and monitoring budgets and schedules;
- Coordination of projects and work within multidisciplinary teams;
- Evaluation of ideas, approaches and project plans;
- Analysis and evaluation of proposals, projects and data to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance;
- Development and maintenance of professional relationships and institutional partnerships;
- Preparation and presentation of reports and presentations;
- Development and maintenance of comprehensive, up-to-date databases;
- Participation in the call for proposals process, including supporting applicants, evaluating proposals and preparing briefing documents.
Knowledge in the following areas
- The mandate and program of Digital Museums Canada (DMC), as well as the mandate, priorities, programs and services of the Canadian Museum of History (CMH);
- The products, programs and services offered by museums and other heritage organizations, particularly digital products and the technologies that support them;
- General museological principles and practices: user experience, interpretive planning, digital project development, design, storytelling, evaluation and online accessibility;
- The planning, development and evaluation of digital products;
- Contract management methods and practices;
- Strategic communication and consultation techniques;
- Knowledge of relevant legal frameworks: Museums Act, Financial Administration Act; Official Languages Act, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessible Canada Act.
Education: University degree in museum studies, heritage, education, history, arts, social sciences, humanities or computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification in project management or accessibility accreditation would be considered an asset.
Salary: $79,134 to $97,933 (E6)
Status: Full-time temporary position until March 31, 2028, with possibility of extension (# 10413-03)
Security level: Reliability Status
Location: 100, rue Laurier, Gatineau, Quebec
