Librarian Responsible for adults and youth

Join the City of Gatineau as a Librarian, responsible for the section dedicated to adults and young adults. Develop innovative services to stimulate the use of libraries.

Under the supervision of the head of the library division, this role requires expertise in library science and experience in program management. You will be in charge of planning, animating and evaluating services, while establishing relationships with partners in the literary community. You will ensure that you respect best practices to ensure the reading experience of the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the adult and young adult section of the library
• Design and implement evaluation and animation programs
• Collaborate with partners and cultural organizations
• Write communications and negotiate contracts
• Develop policies and procedures to optimize operations

Requirements

• University degree in library science
• Minimum of one year of experience in a public library
• Good knowledge of French, spoken and written
• Knowledge of new information technologies
• Valid driver's license
