Required Qualifications
Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or an Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in Fire Safety Prevention or a first-cycle certificate in Fire Prevention Technology or a diploma of professional studies (DEP) in Fire Prevention awarded by the MELS
Specific Requirements
- Hold the title of fire preventionist
- Have accumulated at least 3 years of experience in a job related to public education in fire safety
- Have at least three (3) years of recent experience as a fire preventionist in a government, company, or institution
- Mastery of Office 365 suite applications
- Have completed the Fire Instructor Profile 3 or the Instructor 1 and 2 courses of the Officer programs or any other training deemed acceptable by the Cégep - an asset
- Have experience in college teaching - an asset
- Hold training in andragogy - an asset
Mandatory Tests
Mandatory language assessment tests: passing threshold set at 70% with possibility of conditional hiring at 60% (Grade B).
Remarks
Please note that teaching assignments will first be offered internally, in accordance with the provisions of the various collective agreements, and that all tasks are subject to fluctuate according to the variation in the student clientele (Clause 6-1.02, FNEEQ-CSN).
If these are not filled internally, the Human Resources and Organizational Development Directorate (DRHDO) will offer them to individuals who have qualified through a prior selection process, but who have not yet worked at Cégep.
