As a Customer Service Advisor in one of our locations in Quebec (Beauport, Caplan, Gatineau, St-Eustache, St-Jérôme, Laval, Kirkland, Warwick and Brossard), you constantly attract new business, meet or exceed your sales objectives and provide excellent customer service. You play a key role in supporting and developing the activities of the agency or call centre through prospecting, client communication and sales activities, primarily focused on auto and home insurance.
Co-operators is opening a virtual training class of 12 students in collaboration with Cégep Édouard-Montpetit, starting January 2026. At the end of this course, you will be able to obtain your license in personal property and casualty insurance, with the help of the PRÊT program.
The PRÊT program means: 450 hours of training in personal property and casualty insurance

How you make an impact
- Identify insurance needs, proactively build a network that cultivates sales opportunities, and respond promptly to cross-channel leads with a view to selling auto and home insurance to clients.
- Apply appropriate underwriting guidelines within the limits of the authority to bind the insurer, submit quotes and leverage referrals to make upselling and cross-selling of other product lines.
- Contribute to the overall sales growth plan by meeting individual sales, quality and productivity objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries and concerns, handling complaints and escalating them to higher levels as appropriate.
- Promote client retention: support referred clients and communicate, listen and negotiate effectively with clients who want information about contract cancellations.
This position is primarily intended for non-French-speaking clients located inside or outside Quebec and requires regular use of English. Essential non-French tasks cannot be assigned to adjacent members or other team members.
To join our team: One year of experience in an office environment is an asset.
- You have completed postsecondary studies.
- Holding a personal property and casualty insurance license from the Autorité des marchés financiers du Québec (AMF) is an asset.
- Knowledge of underwriting practices and auto and home insurance products is an asset.
Fluency in French is required to perform the main tasks of this position, including to provide quality service and to communicate with a clientele, groups and teams that are predominantly French-speaking. Essential tasks that require knowledge of a language other than English cannot be reassigned to other team members.
