Store Associate, key responsibilities:

Provide a high level of customer service for assigned departments (fashion items, durable goods or grocery):

• Keep planograms, labels and display standards up to date;
• Take part in day-to-day inventory management activities;
• Carry out restocking activities and merchandising techniques;
• Restore order to the assigned area;
• Perform other related tasks as requested by the owner/manager;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Ensure best practices in loss prevention are followed.

Store Associate, job requirements

• Strong customer service skills;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment;Attention to detail.

Store Associate, work schedule

Full-time: 35 to 40 hours per week. Day shifts, two evenings per week, and rotating weekends.

Part-time: up to 24 hours per week. A mix of day, evening and weekend shifts.

Store Associate, physical requirements of the job:

In performing your duties, you can expect to:

• Stand and walk.
• Bend, twist and squat.
• Lift or move objects weighing up to 18 kg (40 lb).
• Perform tasks requiring a firm grip.
• Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand movements.
• Reach above shoulder height and below waist height.
• Use equipment, including a ladder.

The key holder premium is added for the following cases: one-time opening and closing of the store

Closing: produce the cash register reports; ensure all sections are properly tidied; ensure all associates have completed their end-of-shift tasks; take responsibility for store security, including locking up and setting the alarm; and ensure compliance with emergency protocols.

Opening: ensure the store is well stocked and ready to welcome customers, clean and tidy; ensure associates are ready to open their areas for the shift; open the cash registers; unlock and disarm the alarm; receive deliveries; and ensure compliance with emergency protocols.

Universal employee responsibilities
