
Mission
The Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in the upkeep, reliability and continuous improvement of the technical infrastructure and equipment of the facilities. Reporting to the Director of Technical Services and Real Estate Assets, the technician acts as a multidisciplinary technical resource and works closely with operational teams to ensure business continuity and an optimal customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of technical infrastructure and equipment to maximize their reliability, performance and service life.
- Diagnose technical issues and carry out or coordinate the interventions required in the event of breakdowns, failures, emergencies or critical operational challenges.
- Perform and coordinate maintenance, repair and improvement work on buildings, infrastructure and equipment.
- Work on specialized technical systems, including HVAC equipment, geothermal systems, pumps, filtration, control systems and related equipment.
- Take part in start-up, seasonal shutdown, commissioning and operational adjustments of pools and technical equipment.
- Act as a technical resource person for local teams and support facilities in identifying and resolving technical issues.
- Plan interventions according to business priorities, customer experience and operational needs to ensure business continuity.
- Develop and maintain a close collaboration with the general managements of the assigned sites in order to anticipate needs and proactively follow up on technical priorities.
- Coordinate external suppliers and contractors, monitor completed work and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Procure the required materials and contribute to improvement projects, standardization of practices, preventive maintenance programs and the continuous improvement of ways of working.
Profile
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance, technical facility management or multi-site maintenance.
- Practical knowledge in several technical disciplines, such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, building mechanics or other related trades.
- CCQ cards required in order to complete minor work in various trades, depending on the needs of the role.
- Ability to quickly diagnose technical issues and propose lasting solutions.
- Comfort performing maintenance, minor renovation, installation, adjustment and commissioning of equipment.
- Good knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Autonomy, strong sense of responsibility, rigor and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a multi-site, multi-technician environment.
- Collaborative approach, clear communication and the ability to influence without direct hierarchical authority.
- Concern for the internal service, the satisfaction of the facilities served, and the quality of the work carried out.
Specifications
Compensation: Salary based on experience and benefits.
Permanent full-time day position, with flexible hours based on operational needs.
Occasional availability required to support operations during emergencies or critical situations.
Work location: Facilities in the Quebec City region, with regular travel between sites; vehicle required.
