Regular Relief Handler/Forklift Operator

Overview of the Situation

Global supplier of choice, our employees are the heart of a solid and growing company. The company employs over 9,000 people worldwide; our sites include facilities in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. In Outaouais, we produce absorbent non-woven cellulose-based materials using the Airlaid process. Our products are used, among other things, in the manufacture of feminine hygiene products, adult incontinence products, household cleaning products, etc.

We are looking for competent candidates to fill a handler/forklift operator position in the logistics department. This job will serve to fill the needs of replacing regular employees within the department. We offer complete training before being assigned to the different positions.

Working Conditions and Benefits

• Probationary period of 1560 hours
• Hourly rate of $25.40 for the first 1040 hours, then an hourly rate of $29.17 to $34.96 depending on the position held
• Advantageous schedule / 12-hour shifts (DAY: 7am to 7pm) (NIGHT: 7pm to 7am)
• Guaranteed 84 hours every 2 weeks and possibility of overtime

• Night premium $1.05/hour and Sunday premium 15% of salary
• After probation: membership in the insurance program / After 2260 hours, membership in the pension fund

Responsibilities

• Operation of a forklift (training provided on site)
• Loading, unloading products, raw materials and others
• Filling out necessary forms for order tracking
• Working in collaboration with all other departments at all times and in a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• AVAILABILITY AND ATTENDANCE
• Holding a high school diploma (DES) or having passed the TENS or having a combined secondary 4 DEP in the transportation field
• Experience in operating fork lifts with forks and clamps is an asset
• Sense of responsibility, autonomy, teamwork, rigor, adaptability, work motivation, problem-solving ability
• Ability to spatially locate oneself
