Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, the main role of the process engineer is to support the operations sectors in maintaining, optimizing and improving the manufacturing process. They contribute in particular to the company's progress in achieving its objectives in health and safety, environment, energy savings, quality and production costs. Their duties also include analyzing and documenting the various key parameters in order to identify deviations and present recommendations. In addition, they monitor best practices and new technologies in order to share them. They must also promote and apply the values of Papier Masson while working closely with the other sectors of the mill. Requirements/qualifications:

  • Hold a university degree in chemical engineering;
  • Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or a candidate for the profession;
  • Have at least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing sector (an asset);
  • Demonstrate perseverance, rigour, curiosity, initiative and autonomy;
  • Have a strong sense of priorities, be methodical and structured;
  • Have aptitude for teamwork with multidisciplinary groups;
  • Be able to make decisions;
  • Be bilingual in French and English (an asset).
