What you will do

  • Take a proactive approach to identifying quality-related risks on construction sites;
  • Participate from the start of projects in the implementation of our quality assurance system;
  • Collaborate with teams to determine resource needs and implement necessary tools to ensure compliance with customer requirements and corporate objectives;
  • Act as a resource person by sharing your knowledge and offering training and coaching in quality assurance;
  • Use your problem-solving skills to address quality-related issues;
  • Effectively compile and maintain a quality-focused documentary library;
  • Produce monthly quality statistics for construction sites;
  • Monitor compliance reports and analyze root causes;
  • Evaluate corrective and preventive measures and verify their effectiveness;
  • Use your risk management knowledge to intervene or stop work as required;
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and partners to validate their ability to deliver compliant work;
  • Participate in continuous improvement and implementation of quality assurance standards;
  • Demonstrate leadership in quality management on construction sites;
  • Maintain effective communication through regular participation in site meetings and visits;
  • Actively contribute to project close-out reviews and celebrate team successes.

What you will bring

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry and in quality coordination on construction projects (experience on medium or large-scale building projects is an asset);
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in building engineering, civil engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
  • A proven track record of success in quality and collaboration within project teams;
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills;
  • A dynamic, creative, and proactive approach, as well as good judgment in all situations;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • A good mastery of computer tools;
  • Knowledge of the Ottawa market and the ability to work anywhere in the national capital region.
